Thinking about Polyethylene Food Packaging & Cardboard Packaging Machine

"It's the very same old tissue, honey, it doesn't make a distinction, ok? It's still going to work the very same method", my exasperated spouse hissed into my ear as I grabbed cartons after containers of some 'designer' tissue. DESIGNER TISSUE! Hah, can you even hear me state that? I can't think I really composed 'designer tissue'. So, yes, for a graphic designer and author who understands all about the type of effort one puts into packaging and branding items, I sure succumbed to it. All the hoopla. The shenanigans. The 'suck 'em in with good copy and fab color combination'. Hey, I am still a consumer, remember that. I am entitled to succumb to good product packaging, I have a prevailing right to be human.

But they are so quite ... the packaging. I swear!

They have the 'nature fan' packaging, the 'fruity' product packaging, the 'female on the go' product packaging, and then they have the 'kids' product packaging. I grabbed 4 of each design bundles and made a run for the counter with them with my screaming kids and exasperated hubby running after me in sluggish motion. It was certainly a 'die-hard' moment. You know, when the hero is escaping from a lot of wild bad guys with gatling gun, and they're contending your feet or something ... and there's an explosion behind you ... and everything occurs in ssslllloooowwwww mmmmooooottttttiiiioooonnnnn.

Well, in this case, I was running for checkout with boxes of tissue paper with elegant packaging styles on them. I loved the product packaging designs so much, after utilizing up all the here tissues in the boxes, I would cut out the designs and position it into my 'must keep for referral' clear folder. I don't keep a lot of things in there because I am pretty selective about the styles that I like, but these product packaging styles made the cut.

You see, this is the kind of thing that occurs when you put some effort into making your product packaging style. Yeah, we all have this in the back of our heads ... "Hey, it's PACKAGING! They're going to THROW the PACKAGING away.

However this is what I have to tell you, as a graphic designer and consumer. The more effort you put into developing your packaging, more customers will take a look and stop at your packaging or what's inside the product packaging. Now, does it make good sense for me to say now that when they stop and take notification of your packaging, your possibility of getting them to buy your item boosts? Precisely.

You see, the function of product packaging is to get the customer's attention. And without an electrifying product packaging, customers are going to stroll past the stacks and stacks of other competitor products ... and yours ... without even knowing you're there! Your product is sitting there on a shelf, for goodness sake, and the only weapon you have is to have a great product packaging. Once they take an appearance and stop, you've won the preliminary.

Think about it!
